Went here for the first time today. The service was great from the hostess to the wait staff. I enjoyed everything I had. I opted to get multiple 1st courses instead of an entree. My mom and I split the BBQ shrimp and grits cake and it was my favorite bite! The grit cake was so flavorful and the BBQ shrimp sauce was delectable. I wanted to use the French bread to sop up the remaining sauce but didn't want to get full on bread. I also had the fried green tomatoes with crawfish corn maque choux and it was very flavorful! Lastly I had the fried eggplant with aioli. I enjoyed it because I love eggplant but it was the most understated of all the flavors I had today. My mom had the crab salad which she really enjoyed. We ended the meal with the chocolate brownie pie which was so good filled with whole pecans and topped with butter pecan ice cream. Im sure I gained 10lbs from this meal but it was so worth it! We were one of the first to arrive for lunch but it got crowded/busy quick and with the crowd came the noise. The acoustics aren't great so near the end we struggled to hear one another seated right next to each other. I will definitely go back to try other dishes although it'll be hard to compete with the BBQ shrimp dish.

We were in New Orleans for a friend's birthday in mid-December came here for dinner on a Thursday night. After a very brief wait at the bar we were seated at our table. Drinks arrived promptly and the service was attentive all evening. We ordered a bunch of apps for the table that were all great (especially the veal and ricotta meatballs). For dessert we had the famous icebox pie and it did not disappoint. Wonderful experience!

Always a win ... especially if you order the fish. Wine choices here is vast and fairly priced. This institution sets the standard for greatness in the Uptown New Orleans neighborhood restaurant scene.

Beautiful old school restaurant with white table cloth service and delicious food. Fried oysters with brie were crunchy and full of flavor, batter was seasoned well, addition of the brie was great but I would have preferred it to have been a little more heated so it melted over the oyster. Crawfish Clemenceau was good but more potatoes than anything else. Gumbo was delicious, deep color and rich flavor but unfortunately was barely warm, wish it were hotter. Cobb salad was amazing, could easily have fed 3 people. The chicken in it was hot and moist and tender. Crawfish Etouffe was delicious. Lemon icebox cake was tart and the cream wasn’t too sweet. A perfect end to a lovely meal.

Clancy’s was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Julie and Grace at the host stand made me feel very welcome right away, setting the tone for a great evening. My server, Andrew was really great, and provided excellent recommendations. The entire team pitches in, and you can tell they work so well together. The sweetbreads, braised pork cheeks, and risotto were all SO delicious! Everything was executed with care, from the food to the service, making for a memorable meal. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Food and service were top notch! We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this restaurant for a culinary experience. We had first courses, mains and desert. Nothing was disappointing. The night was perfect, the food was perfect, the wine was perfect and the service was incredible.

Tasty neighborhood restaurant. The food was overall very good. Our favorite was the Veal Annunciation. The Fried Oysters with Brie were good, but I don't know the dish really needed the brie. We ordered the Ice cream and the Coconut Pie. It wasn't so much a pie as a cake. The flavors were great, though I was expecting a banoffee pie like dessert. The cocktails were spirit-forward. There's only one mocktail on the menu: ginger beer with a dash of cranberry juice and mint. It was fine. I'd have definitely liked more options.
